The term organic farming was first seen in a book written by a Lord Northbourne. The book titled “Look to the Land” was published in 1940, and described his idea of a method of food production that involved it being both natural and environmentally beneficial. He felt this was completely the opposite of what he called “chemical farming,” which used man-made pesticides and fertilizers during food production.
The simplest explanation for organic, is food produced without using synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and more. Organic meat, dairy, poultry products are produced without the use of man-made growth hormones and antibiotics.

An organic farm also creates less waste than a conventional farm during its farming process. Unfortunately, organic farms are not able to produce food at the same levels as a conventional farm.

study showed that people who primarily eat organic food experience a lower level of pesticide ingestion, as well as lower exposure to antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
